Inspired by the ornamentation of the Vienna Imperial Crypt, the Munich artist Jan Davidoff creates objects that reflect the technology of 3D printing. To be – to be – to have been – these three cornerstones of human existence are propagated through Davidoff’s work, which combines traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology. The work “Cover” is a serial one-off, each piece in the six-part series is manually and individually processed. The object is a patinated copper-plated laser sintering 3D print.
